DIMOREGALLERY presents PIERO!
DIMOREGALLERY presents an exceptional immersion in masterpieces from the last century. The Milanese gallery founded by Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci, renowned for emblematic juxtapositions between midcentury collectible pieces and contemporary creations, presents unique pieces by Piero Portaluppi—one of the most important Italian architects of all time—created between 1926 and 1929 for a private house, alongside a sumptuous chandelier designed by Carlo Scarpa for Venini in 1936. A modern touch is added through a very rare lamp from the 1960s by Gino Sarfatti and a 1980s Sforzesca armchair by Studio Gavina.
Each item has been chosen for the place it holds in design history and for its strong connection to function and form as a result of careful and precise research. In dialogue with these historical pieces, DIMOREGALLERY exhibits for the fi rst time two works by Pierre Marie Agin from the contemporary collection L’amateur de Parfums.
DIMOREGALLERY is a home, a journey, an experience, a dialogue between past and present. Every object selected or created by designers Salci and Moran has a story and an allure capturing imagination in a way in which only art and design are able. Visitors are led toward the discovery of different emotions, elusive colors, and precious materials, where the quest for form reveals the presence of objects and makes this journey unique and emotive.
