Gate 5

Founded in 2013 by Céline Marcato, Gate 5 specializes in historical Italian design, which is an integral part of Italy’s history. The gallery’s research in historical design covers three periods of Italian modern design: the 1930s, which established the fundamentals of Italian design; the modernism of the 1930s–50s; and the 1970s postmodern period of Radical design. In parallel, Gate 5 develops contemporary projects in collaboration with designers and curators, creating and developing exclusive collections on specific themes.
