Remapping the Bauhaus, 100 years later

One hundred years after the school's founding, the influence of the Bauhaus continues to loom large. However, that influence is often mis- (or at least incompletely) understood. Remapping the Bauhaus will explore how, far from representing a singular "modern" discourse--in the ahistorical, universalizing sense--the Bauhaus drew from prior cultural traditions while being absorbed and transformed itself as its ideas spread across the world.
